In November we hit the road and journey from Devon to the Suffolk coast. Ways With Words at Southwold is a single-venue festival across five days.
Southwold is charming. Explore the town and discover the vibrant beach huts, iconic lighthouse, pier, and a wealth of independent shops. It’s also home to Adnams, Suffolk’s famous brewery and distillery, and all the local pubs offer Adnams’ delicious tipples and brews.
Being bang on the North Sea in winter, you’re never sure what the weather will bring. We’ve enjoyed many a crisp winter walk at sunrise as well as dramatic storms, but Southwold is spectacular whatever the weather. Our festival venue (the Southwold Arts Centre) is warm and welcoming, offering a place to meet with friends and shelter from rain should the need arise.
The Swan and The Crown are located in the town centre. They’re two very different hotels, both offering comfortable and characteristic accommodation.
