Important info regarding a venue change for Barn events

Due to Covid restrictions we have taken the decision to locate all our Barn events to Studio One in Space, Lower Close on the Dartington Estate. This change allows us to open the relocated events to a larger in-person audience and also allows us to implement better safety measures. This venue is a 3-minute walk from the Dartington courtyard and the main carpark. If you are parked in the overflow carpark the walk is slightly longer. It is possible to drop passengers at the bottom of the drive leading up to Studio 1 but please be mindful of other road users.
If you are attending a relocated event, a site map is available here so you can check where you need to go.
If you have any questions about accessibility you’re welcome to email us.

General info

Capacity for all events is much reduced to comply with covid regulations, which has affected the cost and availability of tickets. We may be able to release further tickets but that will be dependant on Government guidance.

1) The availability of in-person tickets will be significantly limited. However, we will live stream a number of our events (hopefully all events held in the Great Hall) as an alternative so we hope that those of you who can’t be at Dartington can join us remotely from the comfort of your sofa.

2) In order to make the festival in any way viable we have made the difficult decision to raise in-person ticket prices to £14. Live stream tickets will be £4.

On-site accommodation

You can build your own festival experience and there are a variety of options depending on your budget. Dartington Hall offers hotel accommodation in the East and West Wing of the courtyard where the festival happens. There are simpler single rooms in Higher Close just a two-minute walk away from the festival venues, as well as camping options in the estate.

You can book accommodation from 10am on Monday 17th May. Please call Dartington Hall on 01803 847150 if you wish to reserve a room. Dartington Hall will do their best to accommodate your booking but rooms are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

The charges for rooms have been frozen at 2019 prices and are available to book for half-board in the Courtyard (5-nights stays only) and a minimum stay of two nights bed and breakfast in Higher Close.

Off-site accommodation

Totnes, a bustling market town, is three miles from the estate offering hotels, B&Bs, self-catering accommodation and AirBnB.
