Booking and Refund Policy
Ways With Words (WWW) reserves the right to alter the programme or substitute writers without prior notice if circumstances dictate.
What happens if a speaker is unable to attend?
A festival is a live event and very occasionally stuff happens (to quote David Hare) and a speaker has to cancel.
In these situations we hope you will understand.
We shall do the following:
- Notices will be placed on the ‘News’ and ‘Box Office’ pages of our website.
- If possible we shall issue a bulletin through our e-newsletter and notify ticket holders.
- During the festival posters will be put up around the site to inform visitors.
- We shall try to arrange another event to fill the empty slot.
Unfortunately it is not possible for us to contact ticket purchasers directly in advance of the festival.
You can exchange your ticket to the cancelled event for another event at the festival – subject to availability – or for a voucher which you can use at any Ways With Words event in the future.
If you don’t wish to exchange you are entitled to a refund of the ticket’s value. (NB this will be a proportion of the value if you bought a day ticket. We shall not refund people who hold any of the Rover passes.)
Where an event has 2 or more speakers it may proceed as advertised with either fewer speakers or a substitute speaker.
In this instance a refund will not be given but you may exchange your ticket for another event at no extra charge.
Please take great care of your tickets. Ways With Words will not replace lost tickets.
Tickets may be exchanged for another event of similar value provided that the original event has not already happened. There will be a charge of £1 per ticket.
You will not be eligible for a refund should you decide to return your tickets. However, the box office will try and sell on tickets for events that are sold out. An administration fee of £1 per ticket will be deducted.
Ticket orders will be processed in order of receipt and will be dispatched within 10 working days.
All ticket prices include VAT.
The management reserve the right to refuse admission.
Audio recorders, cameras and mobile phones may not be used in the venues.
Any person attending a Ways With Words event consents to the recording and filming of themselves as members of the audience in such instances whereby recording and filming occurs.
It is prohibited to make commercial use of any tickets purchased from Ways With Words Ltd. Any ticket that is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than Ways With Words Ltd. may be voided and the holder may be refused entry, or ejected from the venue.
